I lost my mum to cancer 16 years ago at Christmas. We spent the day in Marymount hospice. She managed to make it down the corridor to the tv room to watch Christmas Coronation Street and even nibbled down some Christmas cake. She told us the priest was coming to say a Christmas prayer. She did not tell us she had requested the last rights from him, we did not know.
She fell into a coma Christmas night and passed on.
My mums family motto was “Hope is the anchor of life”. It’s that motto that led me to start the Soapbox Project to let my children know they can be the agents of change for their future.
My mum had a little ceramic angel from her childhood that I inherited. Her birthday is in December and every year I light her a candle and add another angel to my collection. So this soap is a little bit special.
It is made to honor her and all those who we love and miss.
It is made with a triple butter base and fragranced with Jasmine which always makes me think of the evening time. It is set with rose petals and golden hydrangea. It comes in its own gift box and for every one sold I’ll be donating two euro to the Marymount Hospice in Cork. Each Gift set comes with a votive candle and a randomly selected Angel Card.
Please note subject to demand there may be a couple of days lead in time on this item. Dispatch starting Thursday 10th December. Thank you for your understanding.
